WYD Madrid 2001: everything you need to know.

The proposed church is for all young people aged 18 to 35 years, primarily in youth and young group of 4 and 5 ^ ^ above.

We decided to join us as a parish, diocesan pilgrimage to the proposed short 14 to 22 August 2011 .
There are two other schemes by which is the pilgrimage on August 11 to 22 (11-14 is provided with the diocese of twinning Zaragoza) and the formula weekend August 19 to 21, to which you can join on their own.
For all formulas, however, go well with the inscription across the diocese, although subscriptions are active on-line at English Journal of World Youth Day. All membership options include accident insurance, public transport during the week of WYD pilgrim backpack (with book for the ceremonies, hat and shirt, leads the Madrid and the rest of the accessories), free entry to cultural activities Youth Festival (concerts, exhibitions, visits to museums, etc..) and priority access to areas reserved for subscribers in the central acts of WYD.

short program of the pilgrimage:

  • August 14: Departure (very soon). Overnight in the English diocese of Girona.
  • August 15: Arrival in ZARAGOZA, grounding of transmission (where you meet those who have joined the long trip). In the afternoon, departure to Madrid, arriving in the evening.
  • August 16: Opening reception and initial mass, presided by Cardinal Antonio Maria Rouco Varela, archbishop of Madrid.
  • August 17 to 19: catechesis held by the Italian bishops.
  • August 18: Ceremony to welcome the Holy Father.
  • August 19: Via Crucis (afternoon-evening).
  • August 20: Transfer de Cuatro Vientos aerodrome, 8 km from the center of Madrid, and waking with the S. Father.
  • August 21: Closing Mass and departure in the afternoon. Overnight in the English diocese of Girona.
  • August 22: Back in Padua in the evening.


The fee for the short trip is € 420.00 and includes :
  • Package A - Week full from Monday, August 15 morning afternoon Monday, August 22, includes accommodation and meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner).
  • solidarity contribution (€ 10) for young people from poor countries, which will then be paid to the Pontifical Council for the Laity.
  • contribution to the Italian participation (€ 15) that contains:
    - Part of solidarity with the dioceses, parishes, groups which, for obvious financial hardship, request it; Part of solidarity for the diocese African Emdeber at which the ministry launched a project during the period of the Agora.
    - Part of solidarity to the Italian families in difficulties, due, for example, the "Loan of Hope."
    - a share for organizational costs.
    - A price for the material contained in the bag of Italian pilgrims.

  • Travel round-trip coach , including the contribution for an overnight stay in shape Spartan.


Membership:
not later than March 27, 2011 . € 250.00 down payment to be delivered to Don Joseph with completed form all its parts.
Warning: in case of cancellation the organization does not return the deposit or GMG reserves the right to do so over whether there is a possibility.

How to prepare:
proposals by participating in diocesan and parish vicarial. Subsidies are also available at the diocesan libraries, "Follow me" (subsidy for personal prayer every day cost € 5.00), "Give them something to eat" (vocational program in preparation for World Youth Day in collaboration with the editors youth ministry).

  • Sunday, February 27: (vicar) 15.30 Noventa first round of training with the presentation of the theme of World Youth Day "Rooted and grounded in Christ, firm in the faith "by Don Frederick. The meeting will end with Mass on Sundays from 18.30.
  • Wednesday, April 20 (diocesan) Via Crucis at OPSA.
  • Sunday, May 1: (vicar) Mass with all the participants at World Youth Day celebrated by the assistant diocesan vicariate Don Alessandro Spiezia.
  • Saturday, May 7: (diocesan) at 16.30 OPSA training session will conclude with a Mass of 18.30.
  • Sunday, May 8: (national) park San Giuliano Mestre, Mass with the Holy Father to visit the Diocese of Venice.
  • May 28 to 29: (diocesan) nocturnal pilgrimage of young people of BC.
  • Saturday, July 16 (diocesan) at OPSA training session, delivery kits and bus division, with an invitation to the Bishop and assumptions of show-musical evening.

program initiatives remain to be parochial (evenings training, selling sweets, evening demonstrations, themed dinners).
